Anatoly started playing piano after watching and listening to his grandmother Tatiana playing her favorite childhood pieces (Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Grieg, etc.).
After about a year of group music theory lessons with Nadezhda Matsaeva, he started having individual piano lessons with her.
Later he studied piano with Victoria Rezunenko, Galina Dolinskaya, Sumiko Konuma, Alexandra Andrievsky, Kate Tompson, Joan Havill, Paul Roberts and Alexander Braginsky.
As a pianist, he applies this skill in a variety of settings, including solo and chamber music concerts, improvising, teaching as well as creating "Re-Performances".
