* HARMONIC PROGRESSION is a succession of chords that have logical connection to one another. In tonal music, most progressions obey rules of moving UNSTABLE degrees of a key to the nearest STABLE ones. Click here for examples of progressions to memorize, play, sing and improvise upon.

*Dominant SEVENTH chords are 1,3,5,7-degree chords, where 7th is minor. 7th degree always resolves to the degree below, and 3rd to the degree above.
